For this challenging role we are looking for an experienced, analytical and hands-on individual with experience in technical and supply chain roles in the past. You will be supporting our client as a project manager for a global project driving the optimization of the current manufacturing, supply chain and product structure on a global level.

ASAP: Hands-on Project Manager - Production/Supply Chain (m/w)

Our client is an industrial group with a long history, more than 1000 employees and global operations. We are looking for a strong project manager to join the company ASAP to help them drive their restructuring/optimization efforts on a global scale for a minimum of 6 months. The role requires a lot of travelling which is why the location of the candidate is secondary at this point of time.


  • Hands-on responsibility to manage the improvement/optimization efforts across the different production sites and production structure/organization
  • Take necessary actions to reach the desired goals: optimization, streamlining, closure/relocation/integration of plants
  • Improvement/Optimization/Bundling of the current purchasing organization in order to achieve significant cost savings
  • Support the overhaul of the supplier structures
  • Drive KPI based decisions through gathering relevant information from SAP
  • Analyze different production sites - come up with proposals to further drive change
  • Further improve product efficiency in terms of cost and quality, keep driving productivity initiatives (lean, continuous improvement, TPM)
  • Drive effectiveness in stock levels
  • Enforce a process-oriented Supply Chain logic - further driving goal-oriented behaviors


  • University degree focused on mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemistry and/or Supply Chain/Logistics
  • Proven track-record in international Supply Chain positions (multi plants) on global/regional level
  • Excellent SAP Skills
  • Strong experience in project management, experience in process/product/production improvement/restructuring initiatives, driving effective and significant change initiatives
  • Experience in an industrial environment (automotive, engineering industry or similar)
  • High affinity with TPM-, Lean-, Six Sigma-, 5S-Philosophy
  • Analytical, hands-on and structured working approach
  • Ability to "hit-the-ground-running", strong implementation and execution experience
  • Fluent in English, ideally also in German or French - other languages such as Spanish or Portuguese would be a plus
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills - sound conceptual and methodological capabilities
  • Ability and openness to travel a lot of the time due to the global scope of the role
  • Good communication skills on all levels
