This role is part of the Switzerland marketing team (PBRS Marketing) which is the marketing function for the Swiss Booking Center of HSBC Global Private Banking and caters the needs of HSBC clients in 15 markets across Europe and MENA. PBRS Marketing aims at creating and delivering compelling content and events that drive interactions with the Relationship Managers and HSBC brand to help clients and prospects take the next, best action. The team focuses on supporting the growth strategy of the business and aligns on their objectives at both a global and market level.

This role is responsible for working with the Head of PBRS Marketing in the management and execution of the marketing activities (events and campaigns across all channels) in Europe. The holder of this role is expected to demonstrate a good understanding of the private banking industry and the way we engage with our clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders. The role has a significant focus on the preparation and delivery of client and prospect events and willingness to travel is required. All the marketing activities undertaken must be performed within our compliance framework and aligned with Branding, Communications and our Global Marketing strategy. The location of the role is Zurich or Geneva.

What you will do:

  • Work with the Head of Europe International to develop and execute the Marketing Plan focusing on 6 key countries in Europe.
  • Manage key stakeholders across several business lines and geographies, working in a matrix environment.
  • Execute all client events to support the business, and track KPIs.
  • Develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns to engage with different audiences.
  • Comply with HSBC processes and procedures, taking into account local regulatory and compliance restrictions.

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Identify and work with key stakeholders to gain buy-in and ensure that strategies and solutions will be effectively delivered by all areas of the business. Key stakeholders include the global GPB business and global GPB marketing team.
  • Drive introduction and adaptation of HSBC Group best practices.
  • Liaise with marketing across EMEA, sharing best practice, common standards and approaches.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Follow marketing financial process, procedures and manage the Marketing budget allocated
  • All agreed marketing campaign plans are developed, delivered, and measured in line with the agreed processes and governance framework.
  • Responsibility for ensuring all marketing activities are measured, evaluated and reported, post implementation, ie post-event analysis report.
  • Responsible for proactively identifying risks and providing recommendations on mitigating actions in the event of the internal and external developments e.g. changes in business strategy, revised segmentation, competitor activity, emerging channel development, changes in legislation etc.

Impact on the Business

  • Planning and execution of marketing events and campaigns in Europe.
  • Compliance with HSBC processes and procedures, taking into account local regulatory and compliance restrictions.
  • Alignment with key stakeholders
  • Reporting, KPIs, budget.

You should apply if you have:

  • Minimum 5-7 years broad based marketing experience, ideally within the financial industry, with strong event management experience across Switzerland and/or Europe.
  • A range of project management experience within Marketing i.e. marketing campaigns, sponsorships, branding.
  • Proven ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the private banking industry, its regulations, and cross-border rules.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proven ability to work on multi-function projects, and excellent organizational skills.
