This role supports the senior staff within sector/country to deepen client relationships and improve income generation through focused business development activities. The role holder provides multi-jurisdictional client support to HSBC's Relationship Management and Acquisition teams and facilitates client review, renewal, maintenance and exit activities across all HSBC products. The client management support function is responsible for the co-ordination and completion of key operational activities, whilst providing regulatory expertise and risk management assistance. The main responsibilities may include being the point of contact for client relationship managers and clients from an onboarding, account maintenance and Customer Due Diligence perspective.
Accordingly, the role holder is responsible for existing client maintenance and facilitation of client exits as well as supporting the client relationship managers with any relationship tasks.

What you will do:
- Act as primary point of contact for clients and internal colleagues.
- Depending on the seniority of the CSE, the role holder may, over time, have client-facing responsibilities.
- Support senior management in identifying ways to improve the client experience.
- Support the achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, and cost containment
- Assist in the preparation of documentation as instructed by the Relationship Manager or Investment Counsellors.
- Assist in completing review and submission of credit risk returns including limit excess/exception, security/documentation outstanding, monthly credit control reports etc.
- Monitor client activity focusing on cash balances and the maturity list.
- Coordination and completion of key operational activities, whilst providing regulatory expertise and risk management assistance.
- Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the job holder is involved.
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- Protecting the Bank by acting as First Line of Defence and observing all controls.
- Working in a Client Service Executive pool, covering all desks in Switzerland to ensure continuity of clients service.
- To be as autonomous as possible, ideally A to Z completion of tasks.
- To generously share knowledge.
You should apply if you have:
- Completed qualification from a commerce school or a University Degree in Business Administration, economics or management;
- For a graduate from a business / commerce school, two years of experience;
- Previous experience in a Financial institution for a junior CSE role is strongly preferred.
- Further professional certificates are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English, other languages are a plus;
- Good communication skills with extensive customer experience;
- Strong organisation skills and a clear sense of urgency and prioritization with a focus on customer needs and solutions oriented thinking;
- Attention to the details and precision in particular when processing transactions.
- Understanding of how a private bank functions as far as transaction processing, customer documentation, cross border rules, financial crime compliance and account opening.
- Team player and spirit is a must.
- Computer literate with strong knowledge of programmes such as word, excel and power point.
- Due to immigration restrictions in Switzerland we will only be able to consider applications from Swiss or EU citizens or from candidates holding a valid Swiss work permit.

- A possibility of also recruiting fresh University graduates for a training period of 6 months to then train them on the job and maintain those who show an interest and are capable of developing in the private banking field and ultimately in the field of relationship management.
