Senior Risk & Compliance Manager

Your team

The Operations division is responsible for the secure and efficient processing of Pictet’s banking transactions and investment fund activities. To support this mission, the Risk & Compliance – Operations team identifies, assesses and mitigates operational risks while ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.

To bolster our team, we are seeking a Senior Risk & Compliance Manager with a strong background in banking operational risk and compliance, and the ability to lead major risk initiatives across Banking Operations. Experience in safeguarding cryptoassets, as well as expertise in data management, data analysis or data science for process optimisation and reporting, would be a valuable asset.

Your role

• to support the identification and analysis of emerging operational risk trends.


• to periodically review operational risk appetite and tolerance, develop key risk indicators (KRIs) and monitor their effectiveness.


• to coordinate and contribute to the RCSA (Risk and Control Self-Assessment) process for Banking Operations.


• to provide advisory support to the first line of defence on operational risk matters and handle specific operational compliance requests.


• to drive key risk projects and action plans within Banking Operations, ensuring timely delivery and escalation where needed.


• to use data management and data analysis skills to enhance risk monitoring, reporting and decision-making processes.


• to receive, log and monitor operational incidents, and oversee root-cause analysis and administrative follow-up.


• to monitor risk and incident mitigation plans and track the implementation of audit recommendations.


• to prepare clear, concise risk reports and presentations for governance bodies and central functions.


• to promote a strong risk culture through training, workshops and awareness activities.


• to maintain regular contact with risk managers and compliance officers across business lines, divisions and Group entities abroad.

Your profile

• University degree in Finance, Business, Law or Economics, or professional qualification deemed equivalent.


• At least five to eight years’ relevant experience in operational risk, compliance or audit at a mid-sized or large bank or financial institution.


• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management.


• Proven ability to lead projects successfully.


• Excellent analytical skills and keen attention to detail; proficiency in MS Office/Excel; knowledge of Tableau would be an asset.


• Sound knowledge of data management, data analysis or data science, and their application in process optimisation, risk reporting or automation, would be highly desirable.


• Fluency in French and English (spoken and written), with at least C1 level or equivalent in each language.


• Must be resident in Switzerland.
