Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ICT Virtualization Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on the implementation, management, and maintenance of our global virtualization infrastructure. This a role requiring interaction with a global team of engineers, managing systems in 15 datacenters around the world. Experience migrating VMs from VMware to KVM/Proxmox highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in VMware environments, with additional experience in KVM and Proxmox being highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage VMware virtualization environments.

Contribute to the development and integration of KVM and Proxmox solutions.

Work with colleagues to migrate workloads from VMware to KVM.

Ensure high availability and disaster recovery in virtualized architectures.

Perform routine system maintenance and resolve server-related issues.

Automate tasks and processes using scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and scalability.

Document system configurations, updates, and processes.

Stay abreast of new technologies and best practices in virtualization solutions and participate in educational opportunities to enhance professional skills.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in managing VMware environments.

Familiarity with KVM and Proxmox virtualization platforms is desired.

Proficient with Linux and Windows server environments.

Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Good command of English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of networking, virtualization, and operating systems principles.

Excellent problem-solving skills.
