Because our business is growing fast, we are looking for talented people to strengthen our main offices that provide support to all restaurants. To complement its Strategy & Insights department based in Crissier, McDonald's Switzerland is looking to fill the role of:
Strategy & Insights Lead (100%)
As the Strategy & Insights Lead, your main responsibility is to define and drive the insights and strategic planning agenda for McDonald's Switzerland, transforming consumer, business, and market intelligence into actionable strategies that accelerate growth and strengthen operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Market Strategy
- Co-lead the 3-5-year business strategy and drive the global phase planning process.
- Build strategic narratives from customer insights, market trends and business performance.
- Lead Switzerland's contribution to global strategic processes (incl. Quarterly Business Review).
Insights Leadership (Consumer, Business, Market & Digital)
- Lead the full Consumer & Business Insights (CBI) scope: consumer & crew insights, menu & category insights, digital/CRM insights, product mix & forecasting, competitive and market intelligence, test-and-learn.
- Ensure high-quality insight generation and manage external research partners.
Revenue Growth Management (RGM) & Pricing
- Guide the overall RGM strategy and coordinate the RGM Committee.
- Lead pricing strategy and execution using data-driven tools (Pricing Engine, Menu Optimizer).
Data Strategy, Analytics & Governance
- Drive data strategy and governance across the organization.
- Improve reporting efficiency, alignment and advanced analytics/AI in partnership with global teams.
Execution & Performance Monitoring
- Translate strategy into clear KPIs and ensure delivery across functions.
- Monitor performance, identify gaps/risks, adjust plans, and manage research budgets.
Stakeholder Alignment & Communication
- Collaborate closely with SET, franchisees, cross-functional teams and global partners.
- Present strategic insights to senior leadership and communicate priorities across the market.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach and develop the CBI team; foster an insight-led, collaborative and innovative culture.
- Build strong talent pipelines and ensure succession planning.
What You Need to be Successful
Technical & Functional Competencies
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into insights.
- Experience in long-term strategic planning and roadmap development.
- Deep understanding of consumer insights, market research, category and menu strategy.
- Knowledge of RGM, pricing, forecasting, S&OP, and digital insights.
- Ability to manage end-to-end projects and align cross-functional partners.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Languages: excellent command of English; French and/or German required.
