We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer I to join our team. This individual will lead moderate to large-scale projects, balancing technical depth with business impact. They would be part of a team that implements software solutions for computing, improving & checking tooth morphology & implant data in the world of dentistry.

This is a hybrid position which requires working in our Zurich office at least one day per week.

Key Responsabilities

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical training sessions.
• Own and improve team-wide engineering practices including code reviews and testing standards.
• Work closely with Architects and DevOps teams to optimize system performance.
• Drive technical implementations for seamless realization of business needs.
• Lead implementation of epics containing multiple features, ensuring effective story breakdown.
• Contribute to epic refinement to ensure clear feature story definition.
• Responsible for system performance, security, and reliability of major components.
• Present technical strategies to teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on technical decisions.
• Drive team-wide improvements and mentor junior engineers.
• Guide team members in implementing best practices and maintaining code quality.

Qualifications

Education:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields, or relevant strong industry experience.

Years and Type of Experience:

* 4-6 years of software engineering experience.
* Experience leading epics with multiple features across team members.
* Experience mentoring engineers and driving improvements.
* Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
* Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Experience supporting architectural decisions is advantageous.
* Experience in medical technology domain is a plus.
* Experience with CAD systems and geometric algebra is advantageous.
* Experience with cybersecurity requirements is a plus.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:

* Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
* Experience with AliCloud is a plus.
* Good knowledge of C++.
* Advanced coding and system design skills.
* Mentorship and technical leadership abilities.
* Proficient in CI/CD practices and DevOps collaboration.
* Knowledge of Machine Learning / AI is advantageous.
* Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. German language skills are advantageous.
* Knowledge of medical device development is advantageous
