Functional leadership for all stages of project-based packaging development, including planning, de-risking, accurate and timely information and technical insight to the teams, stakeholders, markets, and functions to ensure optimal decision-making.

1. Achieve results by applying a high level of technical competence as a specialist in the design, development, control or/and the implementation of complex packaging and process quality practices where few known precedents exist and apply sound engineering solutions to meet the PMI technical and business needs. 2. Lead and manage complex project by using project management tools (PBO). Ensure that complete documentation of relevant project qinformation such as plans, budget and resource requirements is available and timely communicate project phase updates to all relevant business partners and management to guarantee streamlined communication flow, easier decision making and to maintain principles along the project life cycle. 3. Contribute to and execute department's innovation, sustainability and productivity (ISP) strategies ensuring performance, quality, compliance, consumer and commercial requirements are aligned and integrated to the departmental strategy. 4. Sustain an innovative and consumer centric culture to develop new products, processes, and systems. High level of engagement and strategic partnership on departmental priorities with internal and external stakeholders, partners, and suppliers, assuring technical feasibility according to PMI requirements. 5. Contribute to departmental planning and accountable for delivering strategic KPI's 6. Contribute to long-term business sustainability programs including continuous improvement to optimize the team's ways of working and enable greater organizational agility and performance improvement efforts. Support processes analysis to optimize and maximize service quality. 7. Ensure projects and programs are conducted in line with PMI Compliance Policies, standards, and laws. Ensure that activities relating to these policies are fully respected, integrated and understood by teams, stakeholders, and implement adequate processes to ensure the protection of information of a confidential nature

College/University in Engineering / Science Degree or bachelor degree with focus on Packaging.

WORK EXPERIENCE

>5 years experience in tobacco or consumer goods industry with professional know-how and exposure to printing/packaging development and exposure to project management.
Functional expertise required in line with functional scope

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

Good command of English is a must o Collaboration, Agility and Entrepreneurship
PREFERRED: Cigarette, Packaging (graphics,pre/press,printing and converting), Innovation / qualification Process, PD systems, Problem solving skill, Product
Scientific Knowledge, IP, Idea Generation, Regulatory Requirements,
Expertise in relevant science (technical expertise in specific area),Tobacco Industry Acumen, PMI Business Processes & Practices, Market / operations understanding and influencing, Project Management, Analytical skills, Material science and material manufacturing process (paper making, flexible materials), Initiative Management, Format and material development
