What works well?

My job at the CMS is that of site support manager and pool coordinator. I also have occasional mandates from management to provide training to sector managers, to help them learn their jobs. With defined sectors, the teams have created their own identity. There's a friendly atmosphere within these teams.

What could be improved?

Over the past year, the CMS Martigny & Régions has been overhauling its organization, focusing on team autonomy. This work will extend over a period of 5 years, the ultimate aim being to have self-managing teams that respect the CMS mandate and framework conditions. The shared vision of the CMS needs to be improved, so as to take into account the common good of the CMS and not its personal good. Many people are absent due to illness, which has a negative impact on the rest of the teams.

I particularly appreciate the autonomy I enjoy within the company. This independence is reflected both in the flexibility of my working hours and in the freedom with which I carry out my tasks. In this respect, the trust placed in me by my superiors is total. The general atmosphere within the teams is positive. I regret to say, however, that there are noticeable differences between the various departments. As for my direct team, they're always there to support and help out when needed. The recruitment process went satisfactorily: the absence of discriminatory questions, contrary to what is sometimes encountered, as well as a noticeable building of trust, are to be commended.

What could be improved?

The crucial point for improvement concerns the internal communication system. The multiplicity of platforms (e-mail, Teams, SharePoint) sometimes leads to information dilution and confusion.
