L'Association vaudoise d'aide et de soins à domicile (AVASAD) est chargée de mettre en œuvre sur l'ensemble du territoire vaudois la politique d'aide et de soins à domicile,ainsi que des mesures en matière de promotion de la santé et de prévention.
Le Conseil d'Etat définit cette politique en concertation avec les associations représentatives des communes et après consultation de l'AVASAD. L'AVASAD a pour mission générale d'aider les personnes dépendantes ou atteintes dans leur santé à rester dans leur lieu de vie.
Pour ce faire, l'AVASAD assure la fourniture de prestations pour promouvoir, maintenir ou restaurer leur santé,maximiser leur niveau d'autonomie, maintenir leur intégration sociale et faciliter l'appui de leur entourage.
Nos différentes associations et fondations gérent les 49 centres médicaux sociaux suivants, présents sur tout le canton de Vaud :
