The Business Unit Care Chemicals consists of the business segments Personal & Home Care, Crop Solutions, Industrial Applications, Base Chemicals, Oil Services and Mining Solutions. The business unit has a clear focus on highly attractive, high-margin, and low-cyclicality segments with a large share of the business being consumer-facing in Consumer Care and Industrial Applications.

As Regional Demand Planner, you are responsible for constructing the best final demand forecast for the products in your assigned Region-Segments, through use of tools such as statistical forecasting and collaboration with the regional commercial team, accounting for product lifecycle (NPI, PIPO, End of Life). You will be responsible for performing analytical work to track demand performance against the forecast and business targets. You will build your own knowledge of industry and business trends by leveraging key internal and external resources. You will be a key point of contact between the Regional Commercial Team, Global DPs, Regional SC Teams, and the Supply Planning Organization, communicating demand information to and from the various stakeholders.


We are looking for a Regional Demand Planner EMEA (m/f/d) in our BU Care Chemicals Supply Chain team based in Pratteln (Switzerland).

Responsibilities

  • As Regional Demand Planner, you are responsible for constructing the best final demand forecast for the products in your assigned Region-Segments, through use of tools such as statistical forecasting and collaboration with the regional commercial team, accounting for product lifecycle (NPI, PIPO, End of Life). You will be a key point of contact between the Regional Commercial Team, Global DPs, Regional SC Teams, and the Supply Planning Organization, communicating demand information to and from the various stakeholders.
  • You will drive collaboration with Commercial Team to incorporate (and challenge) assumptions, Sales Forecasts, and Market Intelligence into demand forecast at the level(s) most relevant to the region/segment (e.g. customer, plant, market, region), and documenting relevant assumptions, Opportunities and Vulnerabilities. Leveraging segmentation and exception-based logic to prioritize forecast reviews
  • You will monitor and improve key Fcst perf KPIs such as Fcst Accuracy, Bias, and Fcst Value Add, supporting improved Cust. Service and SC efficiency
  • You will engage in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) Processes: Consolidating forecast data, opportunities & vulnerabilities, and related qualitative assumptions at the regional level

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree. Major in Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in demand planning, or a related function, preferably in the EMEA region
  • Knowledge of demand planning processes, statistical models, and forecasting tools
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop insights
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and demand planning software
  • Experience working in a global, multi-cultural environment is a plus
