Workforce Strategy & HC Controller

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to take on a hybrid role within our Human Resources department. This individual will serve as our Headcount Controller, HR System Power User, and Analytics Specialist, playing a critical role in managing our workforce planning, optimizing our HR Information Systems (HRIS), and leveraging data analytics to inform strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HR operations, proficiency in HR technology, and exceptional analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Headcount Controller:

· Lead the planning, monitoring, and controlling of headcount across all departments to align with strategic business objectives and budgetary constraints, ensuring an agile and efficient workforce.

· Conduct detailed headcount simulations and modeling for business cases, analyzing various scenarios to forecast the impact of strategic decisions on workforce requirements and budget allocations.

· Work closely with department heads and finance to ensure accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting of headcount metrics, providing insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation and cost management.

· Develop and implement headcount management strategies to optimize workforce efficiency and productivity, utilizing simulation outcomes to guide strategic planning and organizational development.

· Liaise with key stakeholders to gather inputs for simulations, ensuring that business cases are robust, comprehensive, and aligned with long-term organizational goals.

System Power User:

· Act as the primary point of contact for all HRIS-related queries, providing expert knowledge and support to the HR team and wider organization.

· Ensure the HRIS is optimized to meet the organization's needs, including configuration, customization, and integration with other systems.

· Train HR staff and managers on the effective use of the HRIS for improved data management and operational efficiency.

Analytics Specialist:

· Leverage HR data to develop insightful analytics and reporting, supporting strategic decision-making related to workforce planning, talent management, and operational efficiency.

· Conduct regular analysis of key HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, hiring metrics, employee engagement scores) to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities.

· Present data-driven recommendations to HR leadership and senior management to support strategic HR initiatives.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on headcount management, HRIS administration, and HR analytics

· Proven experience in quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and scenario planning, with the ability to apply these skills to headcount forecasting and business case development

· Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS, R, or Python) for conducting simulations and predictive modeling

· Proficiency in HR Information Systems (e.g., SAP HR, Workday, Oracle HCM) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI)

· Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights

· Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and initiatives

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with stakeholders at all levels with a high level of proficiency in the English language

· Deep understanding of HR processes and best practices, with a keen interest in leveraging technology to enhance HR operations
