Senior Manager, Merchandising (Napapijri)

Napapijri is looking for an exceptional Senior Merchandising Manager to join our Napapijri team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let's talk about the role:

As part of the Merchandising team at Napapijri, the Senior Merchandising Manager will act as the centre of expertise on consumers, marketplace and retail for the Women’s, Acceossories and Footwear collections

You will support, inform and enable the Brand’s vision throughout the product creation process; will apply extensive product, commercial and retail knowledge to build an open and constant relation with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging strong influencing skills; will be the commercial gatekeeper in key calendar meetings.   

How You Will Make a Difference:

By joining our team as the Senior Merchandising Manager, on a daily basis you will:   

  • Own the consumer and market insight data (competitive and pricing landscape,  marketplace commercial trends and distribution)

  • Define the Collection strategy, on the basis of the brand direction and  financial objectives, in order to guide the line creation and secure the target achievement as well a product proposition consistent with the  brand vision.

  • Oversee and support the Merchandising managers function in the line planning process, price architecture, margin plan by category, from the initial crossfunctional brief through the overall GTM process, till  the final line presentation.

  • Be the reference within the product creation team for commercial/marketplace insight and partner with the Sales and Buying team  through the GTM process to build a commercially robust line.

  • Collaborate closely to the KA sales leaders to develop the strategic key account business with particular reference to digital account and indentify SMU opportunities to maximise the growth.

  • Collaborate closely to the DTC buyers to support the growth in our own and operated distribution channel as well as partner stores, monitoring sell through performance and identifying product exclusive initiatives to maximize revenue growth and brand visibility in store.

  • Partner with the Marketing team to bring to life Product strategies and initiatives and promote their clear communication in store and at consumer level.

  • Present seasonal highlights and collections to sales force during the various steps of the go to market process (GTM process meetings) in coordination with Design and Marketing

  • Regularly download the business performance to the Merch team as well as the larger Product Creation team

  • Be an engaged and committed team-mate, Be a facilitator in negotiation across department/SKA

Skills for Success:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or (equivalent)

  • Experience: 8-10 years Merchandising, Buying, Product Management in globally present brand organizations (preferably High End brands)

  • Languages: Fluent English essential, Italian language is a plus

  • Strong in MS package

  • Solid negotiation skills and superior ability to influence areas outside of direct control

  • Strong business acumen in channel distribution, gross sales, sell-out performance, margin contribution, profit and inventory
