As part of Zurich Australia’s focus on becoming the leading Digital insurer in Australia the Data, AI and Automation team is creating a new AI focused Platform team to become the Centre of Excellence for AI solution & delivery supporting the enterprise as well as the market facing business lines across Life and General Insurance.

The AI Platforms team will sit within the Data, AI and Automation Centre of Excellence, comprised of a multi-functional team to work with Agile delivery squads across the organisation to deliver AI enabled solutions. The team is comprised of Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Service/ Process Designers, Cloud Architects, Data & AI Governance. The AI Platforms team will be accountable for managing design, implementation of the technical environment which e2e AI enabled solutions are developed predominately in an AWS environment. The team will also be responsible for managing our ML Ops framework and managing all run components of the environment.

The AI Platforms team will engage and interact across all areas of the business, Technology, and the Data function.

The AI Platform Owner will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of AI platforms and capabilities within the Data, AI, and Automation Centre of Excellence. The AI Platform Owner will manage the technical environment, oversee the implementation of AI solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to deliver business and customer value.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information systems, Data Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in developing and implementing Data & ML platforms and capabilities
• Strong knowledge and prior experience with AWS services and infrastructure
• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud native Data platforms
• Demonstrated experience or knowledge managing ML Ops frameworks
• Solid understanding of machine learning and intelligent automation technologies
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

You will ideally have previous experience in the insurance or financial services industry, along with experience with other cloud platforms, such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform and knowledge of big data technologies.

Preferably you have a strong background in cloud solution and application development and certifications in AWS or other relevant AI platforms and technologies.
