Senior Test Manager IoT (m/f/d)

If you're a meticulous, strategic-minded Senior Test Manager IoT with a deep understanding of IoT technologies, adept at orchestrating comprehensive testing strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to industry standards - this could be the role for you:

Here's what you'll do:

  • Ensure adequate quality for multiple IoT product families and application fields in various product lifecycles stages from first PoC to mass deployment
  • Develop and implement testing strategies for IoT products, including hardware, firmware, cloud software, and network components
  • Define and implement testing process across all test stages (unit tests, system integration tests, production tests, acceptance tests, field tests)
  • Lead and coordinate several QA and product teams in the design and execution of tests
  • Drive the automation of testing processes
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements (functional and non functional) and develop effective testing approaches
  • Oversee the selection, implementation and maintenance of testing tools, technologies and an IoT test lab for executing physical tests
  • Work closely with engineering teams to address and resolve issues identified during testing
  • Report on testing activities, progress, and quality metrics to provide basis for release and production decisions
  • Lead the certification of products for industry standards relevant to IoT
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to test engineers, fostering a culture of quality and excellence

This is what you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in QA or testing, with at least several years in a managerial role
  • Experience in testing embedded systems, including familiarity with IoT protocols, electronic circuit design, standards, and ecosystem
  • Strong knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging
  • Experience with automated testing tools, test management software, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of a programming or scripting language (e.g. Python, Java)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Certifications in quality assurance, project management, or relevant fields are an advantage
  • Experience with embedded development tools (oscilloscope, protocol analyzers, JTAG debugger) is beneficial
  • Hands-on experience in embedded systems development and troubleshooting is a plus
  • Language: English
  • Ability to work onsite in Zürich for approx. one week per quarter
