As the Manager of Strategic Research Relations and Partnerships, your main goal is to understand the needs of researchers and research infrastructures and align Switch’s services to their needs. This involves designing and developing new solutions as well as promoting existing ones. In this role you report directly to the Head of Innovation & Product Management (Member of the Management Board).

Manager Strategic Research Relations and Partnerships (80-100% - all genders)

Your main tasks

You will be responsible for managing existing partnerships and projects and creating complete solutions by combining individual products. Additionally, you will oversee the productization of individual solutions and projects for reuse by other customers. Acquiring new customers for existing products and new projects, while following the corporate sales process, is also part of your role. Stakeholder management and bringing Switch into large-scale inter-institutional research projects and research projects of national importance are key responsibilities.

What you bring

• Several years of experience in research and/or IT (PhD or MSc)
• Enthusiasm for supporting research in Switzerland
• Excellent IT infrastructure knowledge for research discussions with customers (IT expert, but not necessarily a specialist)
• Ability to think both strategically and tactically, understanding the needs of researchers and research infrastructures in Switzerland
• Ability to quickly grasp new disciplines
• Networking skills at various levels
• Ability to understand customers/decision-makers and align Switch's solutions/offers with their needs
• In-depth understanding of business models, pricing, and productization
• Empathy for customers and colleagues
• Fluency in English is a must; in addition German or French is required
