Job Description

Are you passionate about managing investments and driving revenue growth in the media landscape? In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing income streams, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving profitability. Join us in this exciting position where your skills in commercial finance & investment management will shine. In this role, you report directly into the CEO of dentsu Media Switzerland.

We offer this role in a hybrid work environment, where you can plan when to work from the office (Zurich, Lausanne or Geneva) or from elsewhere together with your team.

Here are some of the exciting tasks awaiting you:

Investment Management: Oversee and control investment streams, including client and media income. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop and refine forecasting strategies.

Media Partner Relations: Create budget overviews for media partners, conduct negotiations, and provide regular business updates. Foster strong relationships with media partners to identify revenue opportunities and ensure mutual success.

Forecasting and Risk Assessment: Take responsibility for forecasting and accruals, providing insights and recommendations to the CEO for alignment and risk assessment. Assess commercial risks in existing client relationships and pitches.

Contract Management: Manage contracts, including creation, monitoring, and compliance. Coordinate with legal teams to ensure adherence to contract structures and compliance requirements.

Team Leadership and Development: Lead the investment team, providing support, feedback, and guidance for their development. Address performance expectations and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Strategic Support: Provide support in product development, leveraging investment insights and thought leadership to adapt to changes in the media landscape. Utilize global media partnerships to increase revenue and income opportunities.

Financial Management: Track internal profitability of clients and teams, advising on cost control measures and supporting the Finance team in improving financial workstreams.

Stakeholder Support: Support Swiss stakeholders in negotiation and investment strategies, ensuring alignment with Media Managing Directors and CEO. Provide ad-hoc support to the CEO as needed.

A mix of the following is the person we are looking for:

Experience and profound understanding of investment management and revenue generation in the media industry, ideally from the Swiss market

Solid knowledge of media and agency operations, prior customer-facing experience is a plus

Experience in contract management and risk assessment

Your ability to analyze and interpret complex data is a valuable asset

You handle confidential information and business processes with reliability

You are collaborative while also being assertive

You are customer-centric and have an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

You are well capable of making informed decisions independently, and have good negotiation skills to reach advantageous agreements

You are a thoughtful leader, who focuses on team development

Proficient in English and German
