The DFINITY Foundation's Branding & Design team is seeking an additional highly creative and experienced Senior Brand Designer with the desire to grow within the organization. The candidate will focus on evolving and enhancing the brand identity of the Internet Computer and DFINITY Foundation, as well as ensuring brand consistency across all digital and offline platforms. This role involves close collaboration with our Branding & Design team, the Global Marketing & Adoption team, as well as R&D stakeholders to create a cohesive visual identity that resonates with our audiences. The candidate will work on the development and implementation of branding design systems, create trailblazing visuals, and ensure consistency across the website and marketing initiatives. An understanding of innovative design trends and their impact on branding is essential.

The candidate will be a visionary designer with a passion for visual storytelling, experienced in creating illustrations and other brand assets. They should be adept at building comprehensive branding design systems that provide guidance for the consistent use of brand elements across various channels. The candidate must be self-driven, communicative, and thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment. Strong analytical skills and the ability to present compelling design concepts while advocating for their ideas are essential.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand branding requirements and integrate stakeholder feedback into design solutions.
- Develop and maintain a cohesive branding design system to guide the consistent use of visual elements across digital and offline platforms (for ex. event branding).
- Work closely with the website and marketing teams to ensure consistency in branding and style across all platforms, including internetcomputer.org, dfinity.org, and landing pages.
- Create high-quality visuals such as illustrations, pictograms, icons, and other design assets to enhance the brand’s visual identity.
- Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders effectively, advocating for strong brand storytelling and user-centric design principles.
- Stay updated with the latest design and technology trends to keep our brand assets and visual identity innovative and relevant.
- Lead the brand design process from concept to execution, ensuring all assets align with the overall brand strategy.
- Analyze design trends and brand performance, using insights to refine and improve design solutions.
- Collaborate closely with developers and other technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of design elements and resolve design-related issues.
- Participate in workshops and strategy sessions to enhance the workflows and experiences related to brand design and consistency.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong passion for Web3 and Blockchain technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in brand design, visual design, or product design.
- Proficiency with Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in developing branding systems and assets.
- A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in creating visual design systems, illustrations, and branding assets.
- An understanding of the fundamentals of web technologies, such as HTML/CSS (no coding skills needed).
- Must include a portfolio, website, or other relevant links to your work in your application, providing viewable links and/or access instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience working in Web3 space
- 1-2 years of experience in a lead brand design role.
- Experience in leading branding design projects in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team setting, exhibiting excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Lead or participate in workshops to improve branding workflows and brand consistency across digital platforms.
