Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity in our Legal Department. We offer the opportunity to become part of a young performing team, in a stimulating working environment combining a friendly, casual atmosphere with cutting-edge technologies and a great diversity of tasks.

As a Legal Officer, you will be part of the Legal department. Among others, your tasks will typically be the following:

  • Provide legal support to the Management of the Bank as well as to other entities of the Review, negotiate and draft contracts and/or any other documentation of the Bank with a special focus on securities trading matters;
  • Take care of litigation matters or complaints with a special focus on securities trading matters;
  • Participate in various regulatory and other securities trading linked projects of the Bank;
  • Provide legal support to the Management of the Bank as well as to subsidiaries of the Bank (including abroad);
  • Provide legal analysis of new services and activities of the Bank;
  • Prepare legal research on banking & financial law and monitor regulatory changes;
  • Draw up, implement and review internal policies and procedures;
  • Conduct training and provide appropriate legal advice to other staff of the Bank.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience as a jurist/lawyer in the Banking industry, in a Big 4 or a law firm with focus on commercial law;
  • Master degree in Swiss Law. Swiss bar exam is an asset;
  • Excellent knowledge in French and English as well as very good knowledge of German;
  • Demonstrate success in drafting and reviewing contracts, as well as conducting litigation matters;
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Strong team-working and collaboration skills;
  • Ability to monitor your own workload and meet work objectives;
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure;
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
