The Swiss Center for Brain Health and Stroke, formerly Stroke Research Center Bern is a world-renowned nucleus of excellence for high-quality patient-oriented clinical research spearheading major breakthroughs in stroke care (mechanical thrombectomy, management of hemorrhagic stroke, dissections and cerebral venous thrombosis). In cooperation with the Department of Clinical Research (CTU), coordinated by our specific Neuro-CTU (NCTU) and supported by competitive public and industry funding, the Swiss Center for Brain Health and Stroke has successfully conducted several large, randomized, controlled, international multicenter trials (e.g. SWIFT DIRECT Lancet 2022, ELAN NEJM 2023), further projects are ongoing (e. g. TECNO NCT05499832, ELAPSE NCT05976685, etc.). In addition, several high-quality observational clinical registries and imaging repositories are ongoing in the field of stroke and brain health.

What you can expect

  • Data management and database linkage
  • Research management, including resource planning and budgeting
  • Organization and planning of regular research-related courses and lectures
  • Monitor staffing levels and identify adequate coverage for workload across teams
  • Engage in high-level outreach and networking opportunities, representing the research program to a variety of internal and external audiences.

Your Profile

  • Completed university degree in Life Sciences, Medicine or a similar qualification, preferably Master Degree
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical research with a focus on research data management
  • Proficient knowledge in the use of databases and statistical analysis software
  • Structured and reliable work approach, even under time constraints
  • Competencies in external and internal communication, including website and social media
  • Team-oriented work approach and excellent communication skills
  • English language, at least C1 German language, at least B2.
  • Experience with some of the following topics is also a plus:
    • Experience with RedCAP and SecuTrial
    • Experience with image repository systems
