This position is a unique opportunity to create a new Market Planning group across the WE region, strengthen franchise market planning capability & teams and build a thriving, collaborative development community. Lead the development of the regional market planning strategy, set key priorities by market to unlock growth potential and ensure execution.

 

Market Planning Manager

 

Job Functions:

  • Develop and execute WE regional Market Planning strategy and specific priorities by market
  • Standardize, enhance and optimize the market planning process to increase New Store Opening hit rate and reduce paybacks
  • Negotiate with external vendors to leverage regional scale and incorporate more, frequent rich-data updates
  • Enhance predictive market planning tools by including trade zone management, site identification and pipeline management integration process, simplification and standardization across WE
  • Partner with YUM and other KFC BUs to integrate learnings and know-how & align on regional strategy with YUM Data & Analytics
  • Build franchisee market planning capability by designing & leading colleges, forums, etc. Share best practices for market planning execution
  • Continuously build and strengthen relationships with WE franchise Development teams. Ensure new franchise structure(s) are set-up for success and deliver results
  • Build the WE D&C community through frequent, transparent communications, collaboration and recognition. Be a culture champion!
  • Performs other duties and ad-hoc projects as necessary

Experience:

  • At least 5 years international experience within fast moving company
  • Solid experience combining commercial and technical skills in data science to consistently achieve business results
  • Familiarity or experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems)
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken), other European languages preferred
  • Highly computer literate with excellent command of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with well-developed aptitude for contract subject matter
  • Ability to problem solve on tactical and strategic levels, reach sound conclusions, and take appropriate actions in an autonomous manner
  • Flexible, customer service-oriented, hands-on mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to influence others and to make impactful presentations
  • Entrepreneurial and results oriented mindset
  • Ability to evolve within a fast pace organization and thrive in an ambiguous, startup-like environment

  • Ability to travel extensively within the Western European marketplace (up to 50%)
  • Education: Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or at least Finance / Business Degree
