Working conditions in Lausanne include access to state-of-the-art computing and sequencing facilities. The environment is highly international, and all research activities are conducted in English.


 


Job information

Expected start date in position : 01.08.2024 or as soon as possible
Contract length : 12 months, renewable
Activity rate : 80 to 100%
Workplace : Lausanne-Dorigny


Your responsibilities

The successful candidate will be able to manage the bioinformatics data organization. Develop and maintain the analysis pipelines, computer programs and packages of the group. She/He will contribute to the development of the R Hierfstat package to make it bio-conductor compliant. She/He will support the researchers of the group for data-analysis, in particular for large-scale data sets.


Your qualifications

* Master in computer science, bioinformatics or equivalent
* Solid programming experience (min. 2 years) with R, Python,  C++ and/or C
* Excellent spoken and written English proficiency (C1)
* High level of motivation and autonomy
* Demonstrative effective organization skills and ability to handle tasks in an efficient and timely manner
* Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment
