Postdoctoral researcher


Job information

Expected start date in position : October 1, 2024 or to be agreed


Contract length : 1 year, renewable 1 x 2 years, maximum 3 years


Activity rate : 60% to 100%, to be agreed


Workplace : Lausanne University


Your qualifications

The hired person will conduct their own research with the aim of advancing their academic career. The position is offered at the first assistant (premiere assistante or premier assistant) level and needs to be supported by a member of the faculty.


 


At least 90% of the activity rate will be dedicated to carrying out personal research work while a maximum of 10% will be devoted to teaching or administrative tasks (e.g. committees).



In addition to an attractive salary, the position includes funding of 4’000 CHF/year to support research and conference costs.


Your responsibilities

Priority will be given to researchers who have had to reduce or interrupt their research activities significantly because of their family situation (e.g. parenthood, carer). Candidates must hold a doctorate and propose a research project that fits within the realm of the Faculty. Your application should demonstrate that you have the potential to pursue an academic career and will include a project and a three-year research plan in line with this objective.
