We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Business Development Director to join an international trust company based in Geneva. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in a similar role in Switzerland and possesses a well-established network of both clients and intermediaries across Switzerland and Europe.
You will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong relationships, and expanding our presence in the trust and wealth management sectors.
Swiss residency is compulsory for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Business Development Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's client base, focusing on high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), family offices, and corporate clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for new service offerings.
- Market Analysis: Analyze industry trends, competitors, and new markets to identify growth opportunities.
- Networking and Partnerships: Leverage your established network of intermediaries, including lawyers, accountants, and financial advisors, to drive business opportunities and expand the company's reach.
- Proposal and Contract Negotiation: Lead the preparation of proposals, pitch presentations, and negotiate contracts with clients and partners.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Partner with legal, compliance, and finance teams to ensure that all client needs are met and that services comply with regulatory requirements.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on business development activities, market trends, and KPIs to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar business development role within Switzerland, with a strong client network and a robust network of intermediaries across Switzerland and Europe.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving sales targets in the trust, fiduciary, or wealth management sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of trust structures, estate planning, and wealth management solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French and/or other European languages is an advantage.
- STEP qualification desirable
- Swiss residency compulsory.
