For one of our clients, an independent fund management company with also private client discretionary accounts based in Geneva we are looking for a :

Risk Manager

Job description

  • Development and maintenance of the Risk Management Framework and the risk portfolio in different areas (Private client risk management and Investment funds risk management)
  • Issuance of reports and improvement suggestions for the Executive Committee related to Risk management
  • Monitoring of Swiss and European legislation and regulatory developments such as MIFID II, LSFIN, GDPR affecting the company's activities
  • Execution of the daily controls related to the above mentioned risks portfolio especially for private clients
  • Execution of the daily reporting to Management regarding errors, breaches of limits, etc.
  • Control of documentation and reports related to the Investment team
  • Development and updating KRI's and KPI's
  • Relationship with external actors (sponsor funds, brokers, custodian banks, intermediaries) in relation to risk management
  • Daily collaboration with Fund Managers, Front Office and Back Office
  • Participation in the improvement of the internal control system, processes and procedures including in the development of the company's IT tools


Profile required

  • University degree or equivalent with a postgraduate education related to risk management
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in risk management related to private clients and regulatory developments
  • Advanced knowledge in asset management business and wealth management 
  • Extensive knowledge in Swiss and EU regulations related to private clients and regulatory developments
  • At ease in interacting with a variety of stakeholders
  • Team oriented with strong communication skills
  • Natural capacity for persuasion and conviction
  • Rigorous, accurate and with high attention to details
  • Flexible, able to multitask and can work within a demanding environment
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of independence and to manage a large number of competing priorities
  • Ability to reason quickly and cope with pressure
  • Strong analytical capabilities with excellent written and oral skills to summarize and report
  • Fluent in English and French
