About the job

As an IT operator within an Operations Centre, you ensure the monitoring and continuity of IT systems in a critical environment. You intervene in the detection and management of incidents.

Context

On behalf of one of our clients, a major player in the insurance sector based in Lausanne, DAREST is looking for an IT Operator at the Operations Centre. You will join a small team and work at the heart of the information system to ensure supervision, continuity and quality of IT services.

Job objectives: Within the Operations Centre, you will be responsible for:

Supervision & monitoring

Monitoring infrastructures (servers, networks, applications) Checking the proper functioning of backups

Incident management

Detecting, qualifying and tracking incidents, prioritising according to their impact and coordinating actions. Escalating to the appropriate teams and ensuring follow-up

Service restoration

Applying procedures to restore systems, actively participating in service continuity

Configuration management

Updating the CMDB and maintaining data related to IT environments

Technical interventions

Support in data centres

On-site intervention (equipment, printers, meeting rooms)

Documentation

Writing and maintaining operating procedures

Main responsibilities:

Good knowledge of information systems and IT infrastructures

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a team and in a critical environment

Compliance with procedures

Priority management

Regular reporting

Training

Training in IT (operator or equivalent)

Qualities

📍 Location: Lausanne (proximity preferred)

🕐 Activity rate: 100%

⏰ Hours: shifts between 06:00 and 22:00

📅 Start: ASAP

📆 Duration: long mission (2026 with possible extension)

🌐 Languages: French + good level of English
