About the job
What you can achieve
- Control and coordination of the entire import and export goods handling
- Execution of customs clearance for import and export goods including compliance with export control regulations (KMG & GKV)
- Handling of ZAVV (free pass) as well as obtaining and monitoring of Carnet ATA
- Issuing import customs clearance instructions and creating transport orders to freight forwarders
- Organization and handling of international transports (road, air, sea) including preparation for compliant shipping (e.g. DGR)
- Creating origin calculations and participating in customer projects
- Performing administrative tasks (collection of EVV, checking and accounting of freight forwarder invoices)
What you bring with you
- Completed commercial training, further education in customs, foreign trade or forwarding is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience in import & export, preferably in a technology or industrial company
- Sound knowledge of international trade and customs regulations as well as customs procedures (Incoterms, export/import documents, customs tariffs)
- Experience in dealing with customs authorities and logistics service providers as well as very good IT skills (SAP, SAP GTS, MS Office); experience with customs programs is a plus
- Negotiation-level German skills as well as good English skills
- Independent, solution-oriented working style with high initiative
