Your team
The Corporate Functions division brings together the non-banking activities of the Pictet group and has more than 800 employees. Composed of specialists with thorough expertise across all business lines, the central functions are organised around several departments: Internal Audit, Communications, Compliance, Corporate Office, Finance, Tax, Legal, Human Resources, Risk and Information Security.
Based in Geneva, the Group Tax department is responsible for managing the Group’s tax situation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, managing tax risks, preserving Pictet’s reputation, and maintaining quality relationships with tax authorities.
Group Tax is looking for a tax expert to join the Group Tax Office team, primarily responsible for managing strategic tax projects within the Group, handling tax risk and controls, as well as coordinating responses to information requests or audits.
Your role
- Participate in managing strategic tax projects, providing your expertise on direct and indirect taxes (advance tax, VAT, stamp duty), transactional taxes and withholding tax.
- Implement and conduct tax controls and audits, formulate recommendations and monitor their implementation.
- Assess tax risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Supervise client classification and reporting processes to ensure compliance with FATCA, CRS and QI requirements, within the framework of tax transparency.
- Work closely with other departments to integrate tax aspects into cross-functional projects.
- Keep up to date with developments in tax law and regulations.
Your profile
- University degree in law or economics.
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in taxation, ideally gained in a law firm or one of the "Big Four".
- Ability to work independently, showing initiative.
- Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving ability and capacity to propose improvements to current practices.
- Proficiency in common MS Office applications.
- Excellent command of French and English; knowledge of German is an asset.
