What you will do here
- Conduct teaching in process management and plant planning in the degree programs B.Sc. Wood Technology, Master Wood Technology (MWT), and possibly the Higher Technical School Wood Biel
- Acquire, initiate, and carry out R&D projects, research mandates, and service contracts
- Contribute your own expertise to the development of the focus topics "Circular Economy" and "Digital Strategies in Companies"
- Participate in the further development and strengthening of the specialization Wood Industry Engineer*
- Contribute to the further development of the department; strengthen interdisciplinary, interdepartmental collaboration with experts in teaching and research
What you ideally bring with you
- University degree as an engineer (e.g., wood technology, mechanical engineering, business) or in business administration with mandatory expertise in manufacturing and production processes
- Strategic and operational leadership experience
- Strong interest in and experience with the wood industry, ideally in trade and industry
- Scientific work, strong interest in research and development nationally/internationally, especially circular processes
- Pronounced social competence for teamwork and a high degree of initiative
- This activity requires continuous presence during the semester in Biel
The title Professor*in can be used if the requirements according to the BFH personnel regulations are met.
