The Bündner Natural History Museum, as one of three cantonal museums in Graubünden, provides information about the native nature. Annually, well over 30,000 visitors come to our exhibitions and take advantage of the extensive range of guided tours, lectures, courses, and excursions. The team consists of approximately 25 employees with numerous areas of responsibility. For the smooth operation of the museum and its diverse activities, professional administration of personnel and finances and a contemporary approach to IT and computer systems are also of central importance.
Due to the retirement of the current position holder, we are looking for a Head of Administration starting July 1, 2026, or by agreement.
- Independent organization and management of the secretariat, including filing of business records (GEVER) as well as mail, email, and telephone service
- Management of the administration and reception staff
- Preparation and management of the budget in cooperation with museum management
- Monitoring budget guidelines and invoicing, management of the creditor workflow KWF
- Personnel administration
- Organization of meetings and events (vernissages, Long Saturday, etc.)
- Power User
- Training in the commercial field (KV, business school, or vocational baccalaureate) with broad further education or several years of professional experience in HR and finance
- Solid IT skills (MS Office, CMI, etc.) and IT knowledge as well as quick comprehension and willingness to learn new tools
- High social competence, as well as ability and experience in personnel management
- Enjoyment of teamwork
- Organizational skills, efficient, independent and precise working style, high resilience and flexibility
- Confident German language skills, knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage
- Interest in museums and nature topics
