Product Performance
Lock cylinders are basically designed for a service life of at least 100,000 locking cycles. This means that with an average use of 15 to 20 open/close movements per day, the expected service life would be reached after 15 years. With some care and a few simple handling instructions, locking systems can easily be operated for longer. General Instructions
Do not pull doors with the key, as this leads to overstrain of the lock cylinder. Avoid excessive force on the key, as it can be damaged. Do not use defective, heavily worn, or bent keys, as these can damage the lock cylinder. Replace damaged lock cylinders, as they in turn damage the keys. Do not spray oils or resinous substances into the cylinders - observe maintenance instructions. Detailed information about the respective product can be found in the operating instructions. The latest edition is published on the homepage www.sea.ch. Safety Instructions Electronics WARNING
Products with electronic components are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Contact by persons or objects can cause an electrostatic discharge that can damage or destroy the electronic component. For smooth operation, the following notes must be observed - Maintain lock cylinders at least once a year with SEAslide (cleans, lubricates, acts corrosion-inhibiting):
1. Spray a small amount of care product on the key (not into the cylinder) 2. Insert the key several times into the lock cylinder 3. Clean the key with a dry cloth
- Batteries of battery-powered components must be replaced at regular intervals or at the latest when the first battery warning appears.
- Perform firmware updates on the electronic components.
- Loose fastening screws (e.g. faceplate screw) must be tightened.
- Perform a function check after maintenance work.
Hereby SEA Schliess-Systeme AG declares that the product meets the essential requirements and regulations of all relevant directives 2
