Job opening within the association of the Maison des Jeunes de l’Eclipse, for a sociocultural animator position as part of a maternity leave replacement at 60% in a fixed-term contract from 1 June 2026 to 1 January 2027 - Maison des jeunes de l'Eclipse.
Job Description
- Assume, in shared coordination, responsibility for animation and socio-educational and sociocultural work with 12-25 year olds;
- In partnership with residents, various groups, neighbourhood associations and municipal services, participate in the development of life and animation in the neighbourhood, sharing the values of the institutional project;
- Develop and maintain dynamic and trusting internal communication between the centre’s partners, ensure the flow of information between the team, the committee, FASe and municipal bodies;
- Assume management tasks related to activities;
- Be active in the continuous reception project (ACO) of the Coudriers orientation cycle.
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work, HES level or an equivalent university degree (education sciences, sociology, psychology, anthropology, ethnology / State Diploma of Specialised Educator (DEES), Higher State Diploma of Youth, Popular Education and Sport (DESJEPS). SEFRI recognition of the DEES/DESJEPS must be obtained during the first year in the position and grants access to the maximum function class,
- Successful experience in animation and interest in neighbourhood development issues, sensitivity to environmental matters,
- Ability and willingness to work in a team and network,
- Recognised skills in project design and presentation, creative and dynamic spirit,
- Good experience in organisation and planning, priority management,
- Ability to work autonomously while working in a team,
- Ability to write reports, use common computer software, rigor and respect for deadlines,
- Experience in communication, multimedia and social networks,
- Good knowledge of the Geneva social system and the functioning of FASe,
- Listening skills and openness to feedback during team exchanges.
Additional Information
- Availability, openness to flexible and irregular hours (evening and weekend activities)
- Driving licence would be an asset
- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale: maximum class 15
- Start date: 1 June
