The Novotel Monte Carlo is a recently established hotel in Monte Carlo, featuring 218 rooms, a restaurant, a lounge bar, 500 m² of modular meeting rooms (ProAct Label), a swimming pool, a fitness room, and a hammam.
Reporting to the Technical Manager or their representative, you contribute to the proper functioning, maintenance, and renovation of the Hotel, its dependencies, annexes, and installations (interior and exterior) in compliance with current safety regulations and the deadlines given to you.
MISSIONS:
Preventive and corrective maintenance:
- Ensure general maintenance of the Hotel, its dependencies, annexes, and installations, including the Monte Carlo residence.
- Carry out regular checks of installations (electricity according to authorization, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, swimming pool, etc.).
- Quickly diagnose breakdowns and malfunctions (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.) and carry out necessary repairs as soon as possible.
- Ensure simple IT connections.
Restoration:
- Actively participate in renovation and restoration work of interior and exterior spaces, including gardens, in collaboration with the technical team.
Technical setup of seminars:
- Ensure the connection of technical platforms: PC to projection systems, setup of microphones, sound adjustment to guarantee the smooth running of events.
Support for external service providers:
- Collaborate with external providers and supervise them during their interventions when necessary.
Energy management:
- Participate in the site's energy management by ensuring the optimization of technical systems and making sure to turn off unoccupied areas.
Painting:
- Ensure the maintenance and renovation of all painted or wallpapered elements of the Hotel, its dependencies, annexes, and installations (walls, ceilings, woodwork, etc.), including touch-ups, finishes, and beautification work.
- Ensure maintenance and replacement of soft or hard floors and furniture (varnishing, painting, etc.).
Manage interventions:
- Respond to intervention requests from various Hotel departments.
- Prioritize emergencies and schedule interventions according to needs.
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Collaborate with teams:
- Work closely with Hotel staff to ensure smooth service operations.
- Train staff on the correct use of equipment.
Stock management:
- Contribute to the management of stocks of materials, technical products, spare parts, etc., ensuring especially to meet needs in painting and general maintenance.
Hygiene, Safety, and Occupational Health:
- Ensure compliance with current safety and hygiene standards.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of maintenance processes.
- Take care of the equipment provided for service and report any defects to management.
- Know and apply procedures to follow in case of fire evacuation.
Intervention tracking and reporting:
- Implement the Preventive Maintenance Plan, ensure traceability and follow-up of operations according to defined procedures (installation checks, functional tests, etc.)
- Report the progress of your tasks to your management.
- Keep maintenance/technical registers and intervention reports up to date.
- Make daily and monthly readings (pool, boiler room, etc.).
- Use HOPR for daily task management.
Training:
- Participate in necessary training for mission execution: hygiene and safety, scaffolding assembly, etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES FOR THE POSITION:
Know-how:
- Proven expertise in painting and decoration techniques (surface preparation, application, finishing).
- General knowledge in maintenance and ability to work on other technical installations (heating, plumbing, basic electricity, air conditioning).
- Versatility: openness to continuous training to develop complementary skills, especially in electricity or HVAC.
- Training in versatile painting or equivalent technical training.
- Experience as a painter with developed maintenance skills.
- Basic electrical skills, with specific training in Hospitality.
