Your Tasks
You will establish an independent orthopedic clinic with the support of the current responsible chief physician, focusing on hip and knee prosthetics as well as geriatric traumatology, and lead it to recognition as a SIWF training center for orthopedics and traumatology. As chief physician, you are responsible for the professional and economic management of the clinic and bear personnel responsibility for the medical staff of your clinic. Externally, you will take on representative tasks for your clinic and the overall hospital and engage in active referral management and patient acquisition. As a member of the senior management, you are involved in the strategic development of the hospital and can be elected by the board of trustees as a representative of the medical staff to the management in case of a corresponding vacancy.
Your Profile
In addition to a pronounced team spirit, leadership skills, and an empathetic and winning demeanor, you maintain a respectful communication in all directions. You are motivated to commit to a multi-year project for the establishment of an orthopedic clinic and to lead it to success both professionally and economically. On the professional level, you hold the Swiss specialist title FMH for orthopedics as well as the specialization title in traumatology. You are well-networked in the orthopedic professional world and an active member of the Swiss Orthopedic Society SGO. Your specialty is the prosthetics of large joints, and you have many years of surgical experience and a corresponding regional reputation in this field. We expect our future chief physician to have an interest in business management topics, change management, and leadership, as well as relevant training or the motivation to complete it. A willingness to work closely and constructively with various interfaces, especially with controlling and quality management, is required.
Your Opportunity
In the diverse and exciting working environment of a modern acute hospital, you can contribute your expertise, professional network, and entrepreneurial thinking, and largely shape and further develop the field of orthopedics and traumatology according to your ideas.
