HVAC Client Representative Engineer at CIT-S
The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety (CIT-S) is seeking an HVAC client representative engineer for an 80% to 100% workload, on a permanent contract. The starting date is scheduled for 1 October 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety (CIT-S) ensures the operation, maintenance, construction, engineering and development of CHUV’s infrastructure. It is involved in large-scale projects aimed at guaranteeing efficient, safe installations adapted to the needs of a university hospital.
You will join a team composed of a chief engineer, two HVAC engineers, a sanitary engineer, an electrical engineer and an energy performance engineer. You will notably contribute to major projects of the Hospital City, such as the new Children’s Hospital, a heliport, an outpatient radiology unit and laboratories with controlled air zones.
Mission
- You develop and manage large-scale HVAC technical projects at all stages of their implementation
- You oversee contractors and external companies
- You represent the client in the context of strategic technical projects
- You work in an environment subject to a Quality Management System
- You collaborate transversally with the various CIT-S teams within construction and organisational projects.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree or an equivalent qualification in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)
- You have at least 6 years’ experience in the design and implementation of HVAC installations, ideally in a hospital or industrial environment
- You master the standards, laws and regulations related to your field of activity
- You appreciate teamwork and demonstrate a genuine willingness to develop your skills
- You are proficient with office tools, AutoCAD and MS Project; knowledge of Revit MEP is an asset.
