HR Officer 80 - 100%The Directorate of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zurich (www.vd.zh.ch) includes the Office for Labour, the Office for Economic Affairs, the Office for Mobility, as well as administratively the Zurich Transport Network (ZVV). The General Secretariat is the staff unit of the Director and the service centre of the Directorate. We employ around 1000 staff in various professional groups at over 18 locations in the Canton of Zurich. As an HR competence centre, we professionally support our internal and external contacts in all HR matters.
Are you a committed and experienced HR professional who enjoys operational personnel work and aims to make an active impact in your own area of responsibility? Then you are right with us. For the succession in our HR team, we are looking for a motivated reinforcement from August 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks:
- Advice along the HR lifecycle - proactive, competent support of managers and employees in all personnel-related matters
- holistic support of around 250 employees including active shaping of personnel, organisational and cultural issues
- responsibility for the entire recruitment process - from needs assessment to hiring; close cooperation and coordination with internal recruiting
- handling of labour law issues as well as advice on personnel measures (absences, conflicts, performance, organisational changes)
- support and coaching of managers in operational leadership issues as well as active contribution of HR impulses in day-to-day business
- further development and optimisation of HR processes as well as active shaping in your own area of responsibility
Your profile:
- several years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a comparable generalist HR function
- sound knowledge of the entire HR lifecycle as well as confidence in operational HR processes
- completed HR training (e.g. HR specialist with federal diploma) as well as further training (CAS / MAS) in HRM, organisational development or a comparable field
- confidence in dealing with demanding personnel issues and enjoyment in advising managers
- convincing presence and the ability to communicate topics clearly, appropriately for the audience and solution-oriented
- independent, structured and responsible way of working with a high service orientation
- networked thinking and pragmatic solution orientation
- team-oriented, communicative personality - with a good sense of humour
- very good German skills in spoken and written form
