The position is attached to the Department of Clinical Neurosciences . This department provides care to patients of all ages, children and adults, suffering from neurosurgical, neurological, ophthalmological and otorhinolaryngological pathologies. Care is adapted to the needs and difficulties of the patient, from the most acute sectors (intermediate care units) to rehabilitation sectors (neurorehabilitation).
The department's objective is to guide patients towards regaining their autonomy through education, support and outpatient follow-up. It ensures both the surgery of patients and their support, to promote an early return home. In the same spirit, outpatient care is also prioritised and surgical activity optimised, to facilitate access to care within a reasonable timeframe.
The neurorehabilitation service cares for people suffering from sequelae of nervous system damage with the aim of achieving the best possible independence and social integration.
Job Description
The neuropsychologists of the neurorehabilitation service conduct thorough diagnostic assessments and implement individualised rehabilitation interventions based on the best available scientific evidence. They work within a highly specialised multidisciplinary team, in an environment that fosters clinical innovation, collaboration and continuous professional development.
As part of your role, you provide neuropsychological rehabilitation services to brain-injured patients through interdisciplinary outpatient care in a day hospital (Beau-Séjour site).
Hospital activity at the Bellerive site may also take place.
You also participate in teaching and research activities related to the service's interests.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree in psychology.
You possess the FSP/federal specialist title in neuropsychology as well as a practice licence for the canton of Geneva or are in training to obtain this specialist title.
You have extensive experience in neuropsychological diagnosis as well as in the use of various neuropsychological care techniques with neurological patients presenting different aetiologies.
Experience in managing mood disorders, emotional disorders and fatigue in brain-injured patients is desirable.
Experience participating in research projects is an asset.
You demonstrate autonomy in your work, both in conducting diagnoses and in planning and implementing therapies.
You show a sense of innovation in the field of cognitive neurorehabilitation approaches.
You have good organisational skills and integrate easily within a multidisciplinary team.
You demonstrate scientific curiosity, openness to new trends in clinical neurosciences, and are capable of developing new care techniques. You also possess technical knowledge related to investigation and care methodologies.
