Innovative Environmental Services (IES) Ltd is a GLP-certified contract research laboratory (CRO) based in Witterswil near Basel (CH). We conduct studies in the areas of environmental behavior, metabolism, ecotoxicology, and analytical chemistry and provide services for the development and registration of agrochemical, chemical, and pharmaceutical products.
Your Tasks:
- Preparation and execution of analyses of plant protection products, industrial chemicals, and pharmaceuticals in aqueous test media from ecotoxicology tests
- Sample preparation in the laboratory for subsequent chromatographic measurements (HPLC, GC, HPLC/MS)
- Independent execution of HPLC analyses
- Development and validation of analytical methods
- Handling other analytical issues in the laboratory, such as determining water solubility and the octanol/water partition coefficient according to OECD guidelines
- Planning, independent execution, and evaluation of experiments in consultation with the supervisor
- General laboratory activities (e.g., equipment maintenance) and administrative tasks (e.g., creating/revising work instructions)
- Working according to the principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
Your Profile:
- Successfully completed apprenticeship as a chemical laboratory technician or technical assistant (CTA/UTA) or equivalent training
- Good knowledge and practical experience with analytical methods, especially handling HPLC
- Reliable, careful, precise, and structured working style
- Team player, flexible, resilient
- High willingness to learn, initiative, and motivation
- Good German skills; English skills are an advantage
- Professional experience working under GLP is an advantage
