PhD Candidate in Mathematics Didactics

Your tasks:
As a PhD candidate, you will work on the project "Promotion of diagnostic competence of student teachers with a focus on diagnostic thinking," which is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and the German Research Foundation (DFG). The project offers the opportunity to pursue a PhD in an international team (Switzerland, Germany) in the field of teachers' diagnostic competence.
- Scientific collaboration in the project "Promotion of diagnostic competence of student teachers with a focus on diagnostic thinking"
- Development of survey instruments and concepts to promote diagnostic competence
- Collecting, processing, and analyzing data
- Presenting results at (inter)national conferences and in professional journals
- Working on your doctoral project within the framework of the research project
- Very good university degree (Master's, at least grade 5.0), preferably in mathematics didactics or other educational sciences
- Basic knowledge of research methods
- Teaching experience at the primary level as well as experience in project collaboration are advantageous
- Team and cooperation skills, independent working, willingness to collaborate across universities
