The Finance Department is looking for a personality as a Finance and Accounting Specialist 80% starting 1 July 2026 or by arrangement.
As part of a dedicated team, you will independently manage financial accounting in a mandate relationship and prepare financial statements within the Swiss Red Cross environment in Switzerland.
What you can achieve
- Independent management of financial accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger)
- Management of cost accounting including cost centre and cost unit analyses
- Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements according to Swiss GAAP FER
- Responsibility for VAT returns
- Preparation of budgets and financial analyses
- Preparation of financial overview and participation in consolidation
- Contact person for financial and accounting questions of Red Cross member organisations
- Further development and optimisation of financial processes as well as participation in finance-related topics and projects
What you bring with you
- Further education as a finance and accounting specialist with a federal diploma or comparable further education
- Several years of professional experience in accounting with solid bookkeeping knowledge
- High IT affinity and confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel; knowledge of Business Central is an advantage
- Independent and precise working style as well as strong team skills
- Very good German or French skills (C1/C2) as well as good knowledge of the other language (B2)
