After a deliberately targeted loss in the previous year, Identitas AG returned to profitability in 2023. Through moderately adjusted fees, the company ensures that the upcoming renewal projects and further developments can be financed independently.

The broadly based shareholder base took note of Identitas AG's continuous efforts to expand its position as a leading Swiss IT company promoting free access to anonymised data on animals and food. With an availability of over 99% in the core area of animal traffic, Identitas AG demonstrated the highest reliability for its customers.

As an IT company with clearly defined, demanding target groups with high security requirements and a clear commitment to "Swiss made", in-house software development is of utmost importance. The customer base responded positively: with the award for the development of a database for professional plant protection product permits, Identitas AG achieved an important success in 2023. Discussions for further contracts are ongoing.

On the occasion of Identitas AG's 25th anniversary, Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin, Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (WBF), personally addressed the General Meeting with a greeting. He particularly emphasised Identitas AG's role in the digitalisation of agriculture. The close cooperation between the federal government and the private sector has proven successful; entrepreneurial freedoms have enabled customer-oriented, sustainable, and innovative development.

The current annual report is available online. The shareholders approved it at the General Meeting on 21 June 2024. They agreed to the proposed waiver of a dividend, approved the annual financial statements, and granted discharge to the Board of Directors.

Catherine Meister Schwager was elected to the Board of Directors to replace Peter Bosshard, who is stepping down after 12 years due to term limits.
