Job Description

As a laboratory technician specialising in chemistry, you will research new compounds and develop innovative processes for crop protection products as part of a team. In the research and development laboratory, you will conduct experiments and verify the results using computer-assisted methods and measuring instruments.

During your three-year apprenticeship, you will rotate through various exciting departments such as Research & Development, Analytics, and Formulation. You will be guided step by step by experienced practical trainers.

As a future laboratory technician, you will be closely involved in:

• Producing, separating, and purifying various chemical substances
• Calculating, weighing, and precisely mixing raw materials and preparations
• Working with modern glass apparatus and computer-controlled high-tech equipment
• Analysing and examining samples for their properties and purity
• Observing, monitoring, and accurately documenting your experimental procedures
• Adhering to and implementing important safety and environmental protection guidelines

Qualifications

• Higher secondary school level or district school, intermediate school leaving certificate (D) or other higher school levels
• German as a native language or at C1 level as well as very good English skills
• Enthusiasm for scientific topics and their interrelations
• A sharp eye for detail combined with logical-analytical thinking
• Enjoyment of mathematics
• Manual dexterity as well as precise and careful working methods
• Perseverance and concentration
• A high degree of reliability, independence, and sense of responsibility
• Strong interest in modern laboratory technology and the use of digital tools
