We are looking for Project Engineering Manager to join Alstom in a new bundle project dymanic team.This project is a newly awarded project to renovate a metro line which include both CBTC replacmentt by the branded new Fluence system and train midlife renovation.
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside passionate, skilled, and collaborative teammates. You'll lead the technical aspects of the project ensuring strong interface management and technical consistency. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including project core teams and subsystem engineering managers), manage technical relationships with customers and partners, and oversee system configuration and requirement management, among other responsibilities. You’ll specifically take care of technical consistency and interface specifications, but also managing design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
We’ll look to you for:
- Be the main point of contact with customer for technical subjects
- Building optimized solutions during the project phase, balancing technical performance and cost
- Ensure consistency between both scope of the project :rolling stock and signalling and the client
- Validating hypotheses for performance calculations and their results
- Support the homologation process with the customer
- Manage the interface specification
- Leading the preliminary and final design phases
- Developing and motivating the Engineering Project/Tender team
- Implementing engineering methods and tools
- Ensuring knowledge transfer from previous projects
- Supporting the Project Manager in achieving project goals

- Master’s degree in Engineering (mandatory)
- Broad knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements, and available equipment
- At least 10 years of experience in railway turnkey system engineering within international projects
- Knowledge of both signalling and rolling stock
- Expertise in system engineering methodologies (e.g., MBSE)
- Understanding of safety standards and practices
- Fluency in English and the contract language (French)
- Wide knowledge of the rail environment
- Strong coordination and communication skills
