About the job
For our Weighing & Instrument Components (MTWIC) division, which is leading in the industrialisation and production of laboratory scales and other high-resolution gravimetric instruments, MFR force sensor terminals, and circuit boards for the entire MT group, we are looking for a motivated person at the Nänikon/Greifensee site, the global operational headquarters of METTLER TOLEDO, as: Team Lead Mechanical Manufacturing. In this role, you will undertake the following tasks: Personnel and professional leadership of a team of around 13 employees in the Mechanical Manufacturing area; ensuring the availability of mechanically manufactured components and assemblies; optimisation of productivity, machine utilisation, and continuous improvement processes; ensuring the production of bending bearings in collaboration with R&D; coordination and consultation on R&D projects, quality cases, and industrialisation processes; implementation and support of Lean Management initiatives (e.g. zero defects, 5S, Kaizen, Jidoka, CIP); hands-on activities in production as needed to ensure technical competence and leadership by example; evaluation and support in the introduction of new machines and infrastructure; ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements as well as adherence to budget and economic targets.
