The Public Health Office is a central service of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden, which is responsible for various tasks. It implements the regulatory acts of federal and cantonal law and thus makes a substantial contribution to high-quality, safe and future-proof healthcare at the cantonal level.
The office is divided into the following specialist areas: authorisations and supervision of professions and institutions in the healthcare sector, cantonal medical service, control of medicines and narcotics, finance and controlling, health promotion and prevention as well as the emergency medical call centre of Graubünden.
The legal service plays a central and effective role in supervising individuals and companies active in the healthcare sector. It provides advice and support to the services as well as to the specialist sections on all legal matters; it provides legal information on healthcare law and coordinates the implementation of the health insurance obligation. Furthermore, it actively participates in legislative projects and ordinance revisions and is responsible for drafting decisions as well as administrative law contracts. A varied field of activity awaits you at the interface between law and health.
To strengthen our legal service, we are looking immediately or by agreement for a legal specialist with experience and solid knowledge of the Swiss legal system.
- Drafting official decisions as well as participating in the preparation and design of departmental decisions and government decrees
- Drafting and preparing administrative law contracts
- Participation in legislative revisions
- Supporting municipalities in implementing the health insurance obligation
- Conducting and independently managing administrative and disciplinary proceedings in the field of supervisory law, proceedings concerning release from professional secrecy as well as criminal proceedings concerning misdemeanours
- Preparing statements for the Department or the Confederation
- Various legal investigations in the healthcare sector and providing information to authorities, private individuals, etc.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and exchanges
- Completed studies in law (licence or MLaw)
- Several years of professional experience within public administration, judiciary or a law firm in Switzerland
- Independent, structured and precise working method
- Language skills, confidence in oral and written expression in German
- Interest in political processes and dynamics
- Ability to work in a team, flexibility and enjoyment of working in a varied and interdisciplinary context
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
