100% Sprinkler Irrigation Technician (M/F)
In this role, you play a key part in managing and monitoring irrigation systems. You ensure the maintenance and repair of equipment and contribute to agricultural tasks.
Your mission
In this role fully dedicated to irrigation, you ensure the installation, operation, monitoring and maintenance of the sprinkler irrigation systems on our farm.
You ensure a reliable, regular and appropriate water supply adapted to the needs of the crops, taking into account production priorities and weather conditions.
The position notably includes installing equipment, maintenance, fault diagnosis as well as carrying out necessary repairs and adjustments.
Your main responsibilities
- Install, move, connect and commission sprinkler irrigation systems;
- Set up pipes, fittings, sprinklers, cannons, pumps and other necessary equipment;
- Check the proper functioning of installations during irrigation cycles;
- Adapt installations and settings according to plots, crops and climatic conditions;
- Ensure an even and efficient distribution of water;
- Quickly identify leaks, pressure losses, breakdowns or other technical anomalies;
- Carry out simple repairs, adjustments and routine maintenance operations;
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of irrigation equipment;
- Use vehicles and agricultural machinery necessary for transporting and setting up equipment;
- Ensure compliance with safety instructions and proper use of equipment;
- Communicate useful information regarding the condition of installations and progress of work;
- Propose improvements to optimise irrigation systems and water use;
- Provide technical support to other colleagues involved in irrigation work when necessary.
Your profile
- You must have prior professional experience in the use of agricultural sprinkler irrigation systems;
- You master routine operations of installation, moving, connection and commissioning of irrigation equipment;
- You have good practical knowledge of pipes, fittings, sprinklers, cannons, pumps and hydraulic systems;
- You are able to identify anomalies and carry out simple repairs or adjustments;
- Training or experience in agriculture, hydraulics, mechanics or technical equipment maintenance is an asset;
- You have experience operating light agricultural machinery;
- You hold a valid driving licence in Switzerland;
- You have sufficient knowledge of French to understand instructions and communicate with teams.
The existing specifications notably highlight knowledge of irrigation systems, mastery of their installation and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to work on hydraulic, electrical and motorised equipment.
