The Population Office of the City of Morges is responsible for various activities such as managing the administrative procedure related to stays and the establishment of foreigners in Switzerland or keeping all population data up to date, ensuring compliance with legal provisions regarding resident control and register harmonization. As part of these activities and their supervision, the Population Office is looking to fill a position of:
Head of the Population Office at 100%
Main tasks:
- lead the staff of the Population Office, coordinate and plan the work of the team (7 people)
- manage extra-municipal relations at various levels (federal, cantonal, and municipal)
- maintain and update the register of companies and traders
- welcome citizens, visitors, and other users of the municipal administration
- participate in regional meetings organized by the AVDCH and other meetings useful for the proper functioning of the Office
- adapt procedures, directives, and other Office documents related to changes in the legal bases in the field
- train and supervise apprentices.
We are looking for:
- professional training, initial or advanced, in the commercial field, validated by a diploma
- specialist certificate in population office, an asset
- at least 5 years of experience in a population office
- experience in team management and procedure implementation
- knowledge of laws in the field (LCH, LEI, ALCP, LHR, LPrD, LEAE)
- good knowledge of municipal, cantonal, and federal institutions
- excellent writing skills
- good knowledge of English (other languages an asset)
- proficiency in resident management software (Innosolv an asset) and common office tools (MS Office suite).
