Yard Logistics Driver with Dispatch Duties for Transhipment and Rail / Shunting Specialist
Tasks
Coordination (approx. 60%)
Operational daily business (approx. 40%)
- Professional leadership of the team and ensuring smooth daily operations
- Control of shunting manoeuvres, dispatching of trains and conducting technical train inspections (including trips according to FDV)
- Central contact person for the control centre, transport dispatch, network management and locomotive staff
- Monitoring of processes and equipment with quick, solution-oriented intervention in case of disruptions
- Active participation in new hub and shunting concepts as well as continuous process optimisation
Operational daily business (approx. 40%)
- Transhipment of swap bodies with vehicles between lorries and railway wagons (horizontal transhipment)
- Loading and unloading, provision as well as coupling and uncoupling of swap bodies
- Timely collections and deliveries according to customer specifications
- Active assistance with general transhipment work on the premises
Requirements
- Swiss driving licence category C or C/E and mandatory willingness to train as shunter A40 and wagon inspector
- Flexibility for shift work (Monday to Saturday including public holidays) and good physical condition
- Mandatory very good German skills, spoken and written
- Strong organisational talent, networked thinking as well as high reliability and customer orientation
- Experienced use of modern communication tools and openness as well as willingness to learn digital systems
