Job description
The qualified animator supports the Animation Manager in team management and dynamics. They are their partner and substitute during their absence.
The qualified animator accompanies the Residents throughout the day and assists them with daily living activities. They ensure the integration of Residents and propose activities based notably on the institutional project. They conduct manual, physical, and mental activities in line with needs, desires, pathologies, and respecting rights and duties by applying established procedures.
The qualified animator develops support projects interdisciplinarily through individual activities and exchanges with the Residents' relatives and the Resident themselves.
They are proactive by implementing projects that they can delegate to qualified animators.
They advise and guide the team in reflecting on the relevance of the activities.
Main tasks
- Support the Animation Manager in organising, managing, and planning activities, continuously updating them and ensuring the application of the institutional philosophy.
- Conduct and participate in group activities consistent with the establishment’s project.
- Conduct and participate in individual activities consistent with the Resident’s life project.
- Develop a connection with Residents to facilitate exchanges and appreciate the proposed activities.
- Collaborate and contribute to the development of the Resident’s support projects.
- Work interdisciplinarily.
- In collaboration with the Team Manager, supervise interns and apprentices.
- Ensure that Residents’ rights and duties are respected.
- Welcome and meet Residents upon their arrival.
- Promote a pleasant atmosphere within the Institution.
Profile sought
- Diploma in sociocultural animation (HETS or equivalent school) or equivalent
- CAS Practitioner Trainer
- Proficiency in IT tools Word, Excel, PowerPoint (SIEMS software a plus)
- Strength in multimedia tasks
- Creative spirit, ease with manual work
- Driving licence for Residents’ minibus with fewer than 9 seats would be a plus
- Experience in geriatrics in animation, nursing homes (knowledge of Snoezelen a plus).
