To complete its general mechanical unit, we are advertising the following position:
Multiskilled Mechanic
Your mission
Reporting to the head of general mechanics, you will be required to professionally carry out, within your area of expertise, various repair and overhaul tasks on vehicle components, as well as various machining tasks on parts, in order to provide, as quickly as possible, internal and external clients with a quality of service that meets their needs, in compliance with rules, standards and directives. Production of prototypes on company request and manufacture of specific tooling for Bombardier, Duvag and Stadler trams.
Your main responsibilities
• Based on drawings and instructions provided, carry out the various machining tasks necessary for the manufacture of requested parts and creation of prototypes, specific tooling for other departments,
• based on instructions given, establish diagnostics then carry out various repair and overhaul tasks (assembly/disassembly), as well as check and calibrate parts (using the test bench), vehicle components and mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical (600 V) components, to ensure their availability as quickly as possible,
• based on the established schedule and/or specific requests, carry out various preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on equipment and installations to ensure their proper functioning according to current prescriptions and received directives,
• as a specialist of an assigned piece of equipment, ensure its maintenance is carried out according to current standards, if necessary by internal service providers (buildings, SIT, etc.) and/or external providers, to guarantee its proper functioning,
• apply the legal hygiene & safety prescriptions provided concerning the workplace, various tasks, mechanical accidents (tools, vehicle, etc.), fire prevention and environmental protection.
Your profile
• Federal VET Diploma as multiskilled mechanic or equivalent qualification,
• approximately 5 years of professional experience in general mechanics,
• general knowledge of the company’s organisation and more specifically of the CMS Bachet / Jonction as well as workshops,
• good knowledge of conventional machines, lathes and milling machines,
• good knowledge of CNC machines, Mazak lathes and machining centres, as well as diagnostic tools,
• knowledge of current prescriptions, procedures and methods, as well as rules and provisions regarding safety and the environment.
